We want you to look this good.

From serious speeches to serious fun, here are a few snapshots from recent events we’ve managed.

Circle of Sisters 2011

Jacob Javits Center
New York City October 8 and 9, 2011

40,000+ attendees

Our theme for Circle of Sisters 2011 was Moving, Growing and Changing. It was our largest event to date in new space and utilizing more than 100,000 square feet at the Javits Center. We added a new component this year and partnered in with MTA on a very successful job fair.

In addition, we hosted Steve Harvey’s Empowerment Expo at COS this year. We had 100 young men and their parents working all weekend on mentoring, personal growth and development.
The vendor and sponsor portion of COS was tremendous. More than 250 vendors and a record number of corporate sponsors (both local and national) participated this year. We had new and unique products on display and the feedback from our attendees was overwhelming. Some of our Corporate Sponsors held mini seminars and had the opportunity to present to a small captive audience throughout the day.
Entertainment is always a key component to Circle of Sisters and this year was no exception. Steve Harvey hosted The Family Feud and also gave a motivating presentation on his mentoring program. Our panels covered a variety of topics including: The State of Black America, The Family That Prays Together and Recession Proof – Financial Panel. Some of the participants included: Rev. Al Sharpton, Mayor Cory Booker, Run and Justine Simmons, Fredricka Whitfield, Jennifer Williams, C. Virginia Fields, Bishop Noel Jones, Brenda Blackmon and many others.
Music is always a key component at Circle of Sisters and some of our performers this year included: Canton Jones, Dorinda Clark Cole, James Fortune, Marsha Ambrosius and Musiq Sou’child.
